A permit is required for boats launched via trailer at Caroline County-managed public landings. Permits are not required for ramps located within the Town of Federalsburg or Maryland State Parks. These are public access points to the Choptank, Tuckahoe and Marshyhope Rivers that include 10 to 20 feet wide ramps and parking facilities:

    These are undeveloped public access points to the Choptank and Tuckahoe Rivers; perfect for kayaking, canoeing, picnicking, fishing, and wildlife observation.
